Description:

Curtain Call presents a deeply moving narrative about an elderly woman from North Korea, Ja Geum Soon, who is facing her final days. Born in 1930, she escaped to South Korea during wartime, enduring the heartbreaking separation from her husband and child. In the decades since, she established the successful Hotel Nakwon hotel chain, all while carrying the hope of family reunion. With her time running out, an unknown theatre actor, Jae Heon, is enlisted to portray her long-lost grandson, Moon Sung, in a touching effort to fulfill her ultimate wish. As this elaborate act unfolds, Geum Soon's granddaughter, Se Yeon, who manages Hotel Nakwon, finds herself at the heart of this emotional charade. The film delves into themes of family, love, and the profound lengths one goes to bring peace and closure, culminating in a powerful and memorable final performance.
